It sounds almost like a new OE identity has been set up and OE is no
longer looking at your old .dbx files.
Perhaps do a search of your hard drive for all .dbx files and compare
the date modified. If newer, smaller .dbx files are being updated
instead of your old, large files, that could be the answer.
Two other things. First, before you run a repair utility on the files,
make a back up. Second, consider switching to a more reliable e-mail
client like The Bat! or PocoMail or one of several others. The Bat!
and other applications will search your hard drive and convert your
old OE files, provided they are not corrupt.
Good luck.

There is a tool for doing so. Try pressing your help and you will see a
menu. If it is installed you will see detect and repair I think make sure
help is expanded all the way. Otherwise you have to download/install it.
Try your help index for that.

Thanks, sounds right. I checked and the file size of the sent directory
file is still very large...so I assume the data is still there. Anyone have
any idea as to how I might remedy? I checked the disk for errors, etc.
nothing turned up.
Thanks,
Chris
