It might be a good idea to check with Matrox about it. The older cards
such as the G400 definitely had inferior specs for the second display,
but I believe the P650 is supposed to have identical (excellent)
hardware for both displays.

Depents :-)
Could be a driver issue. Or just a wrong setting in
Start->Setup->Monitor->Settings
But also hardware.
If you have to equally specced DACs (the chips that feed the screen) the
quality
should be the the same.
But even then....
Take my radeaon 9800 Pro.
According to the specs it has 2 400Mhz DACs.
So one would expect. But looking in control panel the primary monitor
has much
more settings. Mostly for the 3D GPU's
I have only one screen can't test but I think there possibly could be a
diffrence between quality.
But the card is a speedy 3D card with good 2D and as a bonus support for
an
extra screen.
And that's diffrent from Matrox like cards that are build ground up to
perform
well with 1-4 screens in 2D and have crappy 3D performance as an addon.
Look at the price of Matrox cards. Then check specs. At first it looks
they lag
2 years behind Ati/Nvidea. So maybe the still have some selling
point....
