Yes, me too. For those "must tracks" data is collected realtime.

But I already hava data for all those stock in my GS going back many years.
I am merely interested in a nice & fast way to update them each day. All
those qcollector & htools kind of stuff is really wonderful for one time
setup.. getting data from yahoo or whereever. It's just such a great pain to
do that everyday. BTW, yahoo would give you data atleast till 1970.. in some
cases more.
I agree, not a big deal to update 100 symbols.. any which way do just fine.
