Here's a generic solution to get back data.. for free of course, without
having to depend on anyone.
>From scmagic.com, get the data files (most popular futures). The page is
http://www.scmagic.com/Pages/2004/Futures.htm You would notice that these
are .mnd files, used in sierrachart charting package. scmagic.com is a
service for providing backfill for sierrachart users. sierrachart receives
it's data from IB. If you are a paying customer of scmagic.com, you can get
data updated realtime. If not, usually data till end of last week is
available.
After you get this data, go to http://www.rdeangelis.com/SC/mnd2txt.html and
use that utility to convert it to ascii. This ascii file may or may not need
some massaging.. this can be done, but I have never needed to import the
resulting ascii file to TS.
