Hello John,
JP> Hi Mark. I must admit I wasn't looking for faults in the
JP> simulations.
# 1 big first mistake always be weary as a white tail deer in an open
field.
JP> Surely distorting backtests on purpose is a bit like cheating at
JP> Solitaire.
i used to just say this is a scam, but now days i really think more
and more developers just don't know any better themselves than the
people they are selling to. in fact most developers have about 6
months longer experience with ts than the clients they are pitching.
if you spend some time on the new ts bulletin board you can see that
ignorance abounds over there. ever wonder why they aren't over here
trying the same tactics? their stuff won't hold up, it's painful to
see all the same old mistakes being made over and over again by
seemingly unending waves of newbie wanna be super developers.
it is even more hurtful to be out of breath :) and tired of trying to
teach argue and persuade the likewise unending waves of unknowing new
users of ts who are generally argumentive up until the time the
money's all gone. only then does it become certain that the cumulative
experience of this list was right and the cruz brothers marketing
campaign was wrong and deceitful. see i consider their censured
bulletin board a marketing tool, targeted to the masses of stupidity.
JP> Am I just too naive for this game or what?
i would say yes right now you are, asking questions is pertinent to
learning. i commend you for that but question everyone, be skeptical
of everyone and everything.
the problem i had with the report to give some clues were" profit
factor number of winning trades in a row. gains vs. losses on
individual trades. long profits vs. short profits. amt. of history
tested on. slippage commissions, especially on a daytrading scalping
type system are critical. in fact i will state that nothing is as it
seems on this system report.
i did a domain look up and found the developer is in de and the phone
number seems chicago. and the domain was just registered a few days
ago. prior to that i guess they are www.blackrock.com this web site
wreaks of soon to be crash and burn cftc breakfast food.
it's just too weird how a big company like this can be involved in
this bond system. i did find out the below about blackrock.
