Hello robert,
rp> If you have DTN satellite, your DTN box may reset itself from time
rp> to time. It is not supposed to -- resetting during trading hours
rp> will cause data loss. You can tell if it has reset by pressing
rp> "NEXT" until you reach the menu that says "Days". If the number of
rp> days = 000 and you haven't reset the box today, your box has reset
rp> itself. If you need further instructions, please email me.
my box does not work like you describe, but my global server has
collected 30 million ticks thus far without fail over the past 3
months or so. i have the 8080 box.
rp> If your box has reset itself, please call DTN and complain. I am
rp> not the only one who has had this problem -- the problem has
rp> arisen, for the first time, in the past few days for another
rp> person I know, which does not seem like a coincidence. If the
rp> problem is widespread, there may be a generic defect in the DTN
rp> boxes and DTN will have to receive a lot of complaints before they
rp> do anything.
i used to have big problems with dtn sat over the weekend. but have
had no problems since i got the 8080 box prior to this i had the 8000
box and i did have numerous problems i remember.
