    What I want it to do is plot from that point forward, but for only that
day. Then reset from the opening of the next day. A day to day function,
reset each day from the open.

Give the mailing list an example of what you're trying to do.  You
want the indicator to have a variable or increasing lookback length
as the day progresses, anchored on the first bar?  Or something
else?
