Hi Vince,

good choices. As regards your question,

IMHO the Bayesian approach is excellent. Look at
http://www.paulgraham.com/filters.html

I would recommend www.spampal.org including the BayesianFilter, HTMLModify,
RegExFilter, and URLBody plugins. These *free* programs give you full
control over spammers. Occasionally, some commercial emails that you may
want to receive will have to be whitelisted manually, but only once.

For instance, TradingMarkets, INO.com, and Louis Navellier mailings are
considered spam by SpamPal, but if you care for any of these you can simply
whitelist the urls. Spam filters are like trading systems - none will catch
all of the good trades, and avoid all of the bad ones. IMHO, SpamPal does a
superb job. On average, only two or three emails per week (out of about a
thousand) are judged incorrectly by SpamPal + above plugins.

Having wasted money on other software which did not work satisfactorily, I
am now happy and spam-free thanks to this setup. No connections etc. (except
the white BMW they send me each Christmas).

Best wishes,

Michael Suesserott
