Just curious, but where did you get the MS security update. It didn't
showup as an email message did it?
Just to be sure, get a copy of "msconfig" or "Advanced Startup Manager" and
run it to see what's in your Win2000 startup. If you see a bunch (or even
one) of files with funny names such as "vfif.exe autorun" then you've been
infected with a virus(s). When this happened to me I lost the use of the
internet until I found those files and deleted them.
