Fortunately I've never gotten to the point where I have to reinstall
TS2ki. For me, that would be a major event, because I have to apply
all the patches to get back up to SP5 (and I lost the build 822
patch, although the latest build I have is still SP5). I understand
there are installation files available already updated to SP5/822 -
I assume that's what you have.
If only I had the time, I'd clone TS2ki in a portable language
like Python and give it some useful capabilities, like trading
portfolios, various useful extensions to the programming language
(more data types and a real debugger), ability to optimize on
any result I calculate, an option to update strategies (not just
indicators) on every tick, communication with various broker trading
platforms, rolling over intraday futures contracts automatically
while maintaining all data under one symbol, and so on. And retain
compatibility with EasyLanguaage. But who has the time?
I haven't found any software that does all that. Some come close.
All are tied to one platform though.
