Protected ELD Files

If I export a strategy of my own and specify that it is to be created as a
protected file, is there any way to later re-import it and remove the
protection?

I exported a strategy for use by my broker and created it protected.  I have
subsequently made several significant changes and want to compare results
with that earlier version.  Unfortunately, I did not keep a separate copy,
believing that I could always reload and edit my own ELD file.  I was
vaguely aware that a password might be required, but I assumed (naively)
that any required password would be the same as the one required to put TS7
online.
