The MetaServer demo is free too, but only handles two symbols.
I tried both, and went back to MetaServer.
With HyperServer, I just couldn't abide the fact that GlobalServer's
symbol dictionary became completely unavailable when HyperServer was
running.
With MetaServer, you don't even know it's there, if you want to add
symbols to GlobalServer you just do it. With HyperServer, adding
new symbols to GlobalServer is a real chore.
You don't get every tick with either program, because TWS's
heartbeat is 0.3 seconds, so you can't get ticks faster than that.
If MetaServer only transmits ticks that are different in price,
that's fine for my purposes.
