A feature or a product that I would be interested in, is one global server
on a server that can serve PS2Ki front ends (charting, radarscreen, etc.) on
multiple workstations in a personal LAN (ie., intranet in my office). The
reasons for such a need (at least for me) are:
1) I can eliminate/minimize "100% CPU usage" on one machine.
2) Charts and indicators distributed on multiple workstations can respond
to real time data faster and thereby eliminate/minimize delay in calculation
and plotting.
3) One global server means maintenance of one global server. According to
current possibilities, even if I subscribe to multiple accounts of a
datafeed, I still have to maintain the multiple global servers it feeds data
to respectively.
Ideally this feature or product should allow the PS2Ki suite of front ends
on the workstations to connect directly (ie., in a native manner avoiding
third party connection protocols like MS DDE, etc.) to the one global server
on the server machine. The feature should also work with eSignal as it is
comparatively a reliable datafeed.
If your product has (or will have in the future) this feature, let me know
and I'll be happy to apply. Also if someone else has or is developing such
a "plugin" let me know.
Thanks and take care,
Romi
ps, I am very happy to learn that eSignal is now offering a TS2Ki plugin
for downloading historical data directly into global server and wonder if
they aren't very far from offering what I have described above.
