Followup to TS Problems post

Folks,

Many thanx to the members who emailed me privately (especially Alexis
Montenegro) about how to resolve my TS2000i problems (flickering, CPU
usage, etc.). Essentially, it all boiled down to high volume on the minis
was swamping my machine & TS. By spoofing TS's Global Server into thinking
the emini futures symbols were either a stock or an index I could eliminate
the volume component of the symbol and order would be restored <g>.

At least in theory, as I duplicated the symbol settings provided to me by
one helpful member & proceeded to download some data from eSignal via
Dynaloader. It all plotted nicely; however, when it came time for the chart
to continue updating with live data, I got nada.

I'm not sure what the cause of this could be. No other settings in TS were
changed except the symbol. When I reverted to the futures version of the
emini things updated normally. Most of my charts are multi-data plots w/ 2
timeframes (one hidden). Also, several of my indicators pull from a
database created from futures data that's from an earlier contract (I use
Cycletrader indicators like its stochastic, buy/sell signals, and timing
bands). I doubt that would be a factor, but I mention it in any case.

I feel I'm so close, especially since everyone who wrote me told me all my
problems would vanish once I created these synthetic symbols. Any
suggestions on why I'm unable to plot live data? There's no hourglass or
special message when I use the new symbols. The downloaded data appears
normally, but the live data just isn't being plotted.

Thanx to all,

Michael
