sp shorts not making much past 2 months?

sp shorts for the past couple of months understandably did not work very well.
i mean about half  shorts in my systems worked by cumulatively they were 
break even at best.  they don't seem to create drawdowns since they equal out but 
they simply don't make any doe... turning shorts off pumps performance quite bit...
( in the past, so don't turn them off now...)
i was wondering if someone was able to actually generate profits on shorts 
for the past couple of months, so take a look in your system reports under shorts and 
see if the systems are green there?
