I use:

http://www.northstartrust.com/retirement/commodityira.asp

as the IRA trustee, and

http://www.daytrade4less.com/

as the broker. There's no minimum on the account size to my 
knowledge, and once the account is open there are no additional fees. 
100% self-directed just like a regular trading account. Commish is 
whatever you negotiate with the broker.

Works fine - a bit longer to open the account, but otherwise no 
different than a normal account.
