Rundy, what I described is the standard capability of eSignal. On the excel
in the same computer as eSignal, choose a cell in your spreadsheet and enter
an example of the eSignal DDE syntax such as the following:
=WINROS|LAST!'YM M3' .

Be sure to get your keystrokes right - ex. for the "|" line you use shift +
\ ....and for the "!" you use shift + 1 . Not the quotation mark is a
single ' ... not the double " .

DDE for excel will work on virtually any version of eSignal including 7.2.
It will feed excel at the same time that your eSignal charts and/or 2000i is
running - or all three. This is the standard intended eSignal setup -
nothing special.
For more help go into your eSignal "Turbo Data Manager" (this is the
"WINROS.exe" application) and under Help/ Index type "DDE "and you will get
all the info related to this capability. There are many dde quote fields
beyond LAST under the " TOPICS" section.

Once again, you will not be able to use the DDE across your LAN as the
required Windows NetDDE capability is automatically disabled by Turbo Data
Manager (Winros.exe).

Subject: get quotes into Excel using eSignal feed

Hello Michael,

In a recent Omega post, you mentioned there is a way to get quotes into
Excel using eSignal feed.

Are you currently doing this?

I am looking for a way to feed eMini quotes into something like an Excel
add-in like Quotein (www.quotein.com),
so I can see the current eMini price on a Pocket PC.

Are you doing something like this?

Also, do you know if you can have eSignal 7.2 software running
concurrently with TS2000i also using the eSignal data feed?
