Just letting everybody know just in case the problem srfaces with
somebody else.
I finally turned the hardware the hardawre acceleration to zero and the
problem went way.
Nothing else played up.
Just the screen would not open.
What makes no sence is that it suddently stopped.
As far as I know I did nothing to change it - it has been operating OK
on this aspect since I bought it.
It was very frustrating solving it
