My gratitude goes to several list members who always come to my rescue when
I got into trouble with TS4.

I thought I did disconnect and reconnect very theing except "power cable" to
my cable data receiver/converter. After 5 and half agonizing hours,
completely exhausted, and more than 15 times of rebooting, I sovled the
problem by simply disconnecting and reconnecting power calbe that supposely
reinitialize the converter.

That's all, folks!

Subject: My TS4 server cannot make the data connection any more, NEED HELP

In order to demonstrate that their data trasmition without any problems on
duplicate ticks, tech support suggested me to close off the TS4 and open
the BMI MarketCenter Platinum (DBC Data Manager automatically open up too),
I just follow the instructions. Guess what happened after that excerise?

First, by looking at the MarketCenter Platinum, I just coludn't tell
whether they have duplicate ticks or not. In TS4, looking at edit tick
window, it's very clear that I and 7 other list members (last counts) did
receive duplicate ticks no matter they admit it or not. Sure, BMI blames
that's TS4's problem since they couldn't replicate the problem.

Second, after closingthe MCP, my TS4 can no longer make the data
connection.

My TS4 real time is complete out of commission now. I need some help on how
to solve the problem. I went thru all the regular routines when the server
kept showing "No data being received from datafeed on COM1" and couldn't
complete the initialization.

The steps I took were as follows:

1. Make sure the data is coming thru cable. Yes, cable converter box window
indicates "VIDEO CARRIER DATA". I even rescan the cable channel and until
it was "LOCKED'. (No prevail)

2. Call my friend and his data is coming normally this evening.

3. Disconnect all my computer cables and put them back. (No prevail)

4. Reboot (cold and warm) my computer. (No prevail)

5. Reinstall my TS4 from build 16 thru 27. (No prevail)

6. Spent 45 minutes with BMI tech support and went thru several measures,
including unistall MCP then reboot (No prevail), download new version MCP,
open it then close it (No prevail).

What did it go wrong? Colud MCP (with data manger) somehow in conflict with
TS4 server? Did anyone have the similar encounters?

Any inputs are most appreciated
