Lately I've heard some sad stories of traders who've lost their operating
systems and are goaded into wiping their drives and starting over, or trying
stuff that leads to even more frustrations.
When booting your PC, press and hold down the "F8" key...(only for 98SE,
Win2000, and WinXP. Maybe NT, I don't know).
You will see the Win "Console"; basically just a menu where you can select
what you want done by Windows.
It gives several options, one of-which is "Last good boot". That has saved
me more grief than I can say, and it's very easy to do...
