Dear Alex,
I am one from this dreamers who want switch on a <TRADE> button one day in
the morning and that will be enough...
;-))))
I work with IB as broker + IB datafeed + TS 2000i + my DLL + my IBWizard
(or what name is good...)
I am done for about 80% maybe...
I am happy and thanks god for IB API and for IB absolutely REALTIME
datafeed...
I don't mind that the developement of TS2000i is closed. Conversely, if I
consider to use whatsever for automated trading with REAL money, I don't
need go in fear of new bugs and so... If I know the current TS bugs, they
aren't dangerous...
I use TS2000i mainly for backtesting and through myDLL for trading with IBW
(simulated so far)
If TS2000i will not able to cope with features, I can write DDL
fortunately...
Nevertheless I consider that my champions strategy I will rewrite from ELA
scripts and will add into IBW...
IBWizard does all other I need:
- all data manipulation, saving and RT distribution (TS, local/remote
IBWizards clients,...),RT trade simulation (IB DEMO is useless
unfortunately),
multi account, multi symbol and multi strategy system /discretionary
trading and trade management,..
- all activities for no human hits during trading - for days, weeks, years
..;-)) grrrrr...aaaaaaa,;-)) watching internet connection, relogin,... (I
use wireless damned...but DSL comes wow!! next week )
- etc.
I don't know other platforms, but I think what one need is utmost open and
utmost proprietary independent platform...
One doesn't need any surprise...
Best reagards and of course I am sorry for my bad English
Milos
