RE: TRADESTATION STATUS BULLETIN

I would not buy a 8xCPU computer on this announcement - "fully" is hardly a
detailed specification - until I see it myself. TS support has declared that
existing 3rd-party DLL's do not require any modification to work in TS7;
specifically, they do not need to be made thread-safe. If I understand the
implications of this correctly, then fully does not mean, for example, that
your optimizations will run 8x faster on an 8xCPU machine. I could be wrong,
but there have been a number of discussions about this on the TSW forums,
and most developers are having a hard time reconciling in their minds how
TS7 can fully exploit multiple CPUs while not requiring their DLLs to be
thread-safe.

I, for one, will wait until I hear of the experience of others on their
existing multi-CPU machines before I spend the money to buy one just for TS.

Dual? HA!

4x or 8x is the question? ;)
