I have fixed at least part of the win2k problem. The answer might help
others too. The culprits were some services that were automatically running.
I set them to manual and things are zippy fast now. The ones I turned off
are..

windows installer
task scheduler
nvidia driver helper service

There may be others that might improve performance a bit, but I was unsure.
Anyone done a win2k cleanup and know what is really needed?

Thanks for all the replies,
Chris
