I am running one copy of TS2K under Win2000 Pro and another under
Win XP Pro. The XP Pro machine has a faster CPU and has twice (1
GB) RAM. Reliability is about equal in both set ups.
Buying more memory will have zero impact on performance in your
case. Other components such as I/O, network, (and lack of
multi-threading in TS2K) limit your performance.
