OT: Opera 7.1 Mail handling of PDF attachment

Hello:

    OFF TOPIC: Opera Mail reader question

In Opera 7.1, the mail tool does NOT recognize .pdf files
as attachments.  They are inlined as text. This renders
the attachment unreadable and unprintable.

Would anyone know what settings are required to
force  Opera 7.1 to treat .pdf files as a downloadable
attachment?
