Hello John,
I have experienced some similar problems with the global server in the past.
What I did to solve the problem for me was to close the global server and
charting, then reboot. Through windows explorer(right click start button and
click explore) I went into the drive that has the Omega Research folder stored
in it. So in my case I went into the c: drive then into the program files
folder,
then into the omega research folder, then into the server folder.
Inside the server folder I deleted 3 files: GSQF.dat, GSQF.mst, and
symswap.dat. Then inside the server folder I went into the pds folder
and deleted all the files that end in .idx. I then went into the Windows
folder and then into the Temp folder and deleted all files and folders in
the windows\temp folder. I then rebooted. All of the files you deleted
will automatically be rebuilt by opening the global server.
the ones that were corrupted causing the c-tree error should be fixed
and your global server should work fine. some of your data may come
back some of it may not. but if you regularly export your data for the
purposes of backing it up, you can then import in your most recent
back-up. I am not familiar with the dynaloader, so perhaps you can
retrieve missing data(if any) there. if not i would not recommend
the historybank.com as a source of data for it SUCKS!
I personally use Unfair Advantage by CSI for reliable data and other
than the work involved importing only one contrac worth of data at
a time, I am very happy with the quality of the data.
Well, good luck with that John and I hope this works for you.
Cheers,
Kevin

I have been unable to get my GlobalServer to function properly. In fact,
all data disappeared from it. I downloaded data from DynaLoader but now get
the message "CTree error". Does anyone know what this is or how to rectify
this disaster?
Thanks,
