I'm new to this list and need help bad. Trying to convert TS4 from an old
pentium with win98 to a new machine Intel 2.4 ghz win2k. Have gone thru the
whole procedure but get Security block is missing error.

When starting the Offline Data Server it starts with the Omega spash screen
and then gives me the security block error. When I run SSI_ACT.EXE from the
command prompt, it recogonizes the security block and gives me the value
SSI_ACT=2,2,2. And the security block still works on my old win98 machine.

Here is what I have done. Dongel is attached to LPT1. TS4 is in omega40
folder:

1. Changed the bios so that the LPT port was normal (default was ECP).
2. Installed TS4 from my last CD which was build 23.
3. Used my Colorado tape drive to backup my win98 TS4 and restored on my
win2k machine.
4.  In win2k system.ini added after [386Enh]
    device=ssiact386
    SSI_LPT=1
5. added to c:\windows\system32\drivers directory
    SSIDDDP.SYS from omega40\prog\drivers\nt directory
    SSIPDDP.SYS from omega40\prog\drivers\nt directory
6. added to c:\windows\system32 directory
    SSIVDDP.DLL from omega40\prog\drivers\nt directory
7. from the Command Prompt (MS DOS) i entered
CD c:\omega40\prog\drivers\nt
typed SSIREGI install and got a success message
8. Went to c:\windows\system32 directory and added the following line to
config.nt:
    DEVICE=%SystemRoot%\system32\drivers\SSIDDDP.SYS
    SET SSI_ACT=2,2,2 (I tried with and without this line)

Anyone have any ideas? See anything wrong or omitted?
Thanks
Carl
