It's not a Metaserver feature. It's a "back-door" where metaserver dde
will pass on the data over the local network.
You need a utility wich you can download from www.traders-soft.com
called ts-net util (i believe it's somewhere in the free software section)

You can find help instructions with that file. Only thing you need to do is
run that program and "point" it to the ip of the computer wich is running
metaserver.
