That's the bottom line, and the most difficult to believe with TS.

A good idea in any case, if only to ease the task of recovery should
something happen. BUT - the above is of no use at all if the rogue
code is part of TS. It is much too easy to tap in, and extremely
difficult to detect and/or prove if encrypted. The amount of info
transferred is rather small, and the time available to do it is quite
large - a drop in the bucket, so to speak. A tiny bit of code, a few
bytes now and then, and soon you have it all.

Also, this would require the cooperation of TS to find/prove it. I
can't begin to imagine them wanting to risk exposing such a thing - it
is a candidate for a big cover up, if anything. Easiest thing is to
ignore it, or maybe even share the wealth. :-)

It is MUCH too tempting to resist.
