You should call TradeStation and request access to "TradeStation World",
this is their customer support website. You can review the discussions
between customers and the company regarding every question you posed below
and many more.
In particular to me, all of the account management functions that were
present in TS2000i are missing from TS6. Your strategies will not have any
knowledge of account equity or your current real position in the market.
You will not be able to determine the outcome of a limit order, or the entry
price of a market order. Many customers are quite upset over these
omissions, and TradeStation is now working on what might be called "TS7".
Presumably, TS7 will be closer to IB's current account management
capabilities, but I don't believe they have announced a date for the
software's release.
