Are the Neural Networks and Fuzzy logic of any use ?

Hi All,

I am looking to invest some money and time into some of these pricey
niceties.

Before I blow $3,000, can somebody tell me whether they are as good as their
developers claim?

Has anybody managed to come up with tradable intra-day system using neural
networks or fuzzy logic (for E-min S&P maybe).
