Assuming that one wants to generate 20 workspaces containing 4 stocks each
in TS2000 i. Is the only way of doing so really by manually inserting each
of the 80 stocks one by one into the different 20 workspaces or is there a
tool available that would make this process more time efficient or have I
missed something?
I know that one can insert whole Symbol Lists into Radarscreen but
Radarscreen lacks at least the Insert Strategy... function available in
Tradestation 2000 i. Or is it instead assumed that one should use
indicators w/ the Enable Alert function active as a surrogate to Strategies
in RadarScreen? And is there a fast way of changing the time compression
settings in "my 80 chart windows" or would that have to be done by
programming an add in module that could access these functions in TS2000 i?
By the way, I have already rationalized the System testing capabilities in
my 80 chart windows by inserting a Strategy named as "Standard" into a
template, which allows me by simply changing the code of the signals in the
"Standard" strategy to test different scenarios in all of the 80 windows.
Are there better workarounds to this problem?
And would the programming have to be done in a COM compliant language and
what is really COM? Right now I have MS VC++ 4.0 and VB 4.0 Professional
but I have noticed that the sample codes in the Developer's Kit won't load
into VB 4.0 so appearently some more contributions to Mr. Bill Gates would
have to take place? (I have already paid him 3 license fees for my OS,
which is still Win 95 SE, as a result of having upgraded my computers three
times)
Thanks in advance,
