RE: S&P, eSignal and Globex data

Further to all these messages that I started by asking how to display
different Session times in one market, here's what I've found so far...

But first - the usual disclaimer (:-). This is what I've done and it
seems to work but you need to take care when messing with the GS.

First of all, I said I was using eSignal and as, someone pointed out,
it's easy to do this in eSignal because you can specify which session
you want as follows:

SP Z2=1 plots globex only
SP Z2=2 plots the day sessions only
SP Z2 plots both the daily and globex sessions

However, you cannot do this with TradeStation in the Global Server as it
does not recognise these "=" contracts. Instead you must set up the
Session times manually.

Now, let's say you have the SP Z2 contract and set the Session times to
display both he daily and globex settings and you would also like a
separate contract to display just the day session.

Select Insert>Symbol, click on Add New then enter a symbol in the Symbol
box, say SP Z2=2. You'll get an error pop up box telling you it should
be entered as "SP Z2 and recommending that you change it. Click the No
button, select Future template, etc, then click on OK.

SP Z2=2 will appear in the Symbol list, select it and Edit it and then
edit the Session times as required.

Hope this is helpful.

Cheers,
Ian
