Dear Ace,
TS uses its own definition re UpTicks & DownTicks. To me, a "true" UpTick is
a tick whose value is higher than the immediately preceding tick, and
analogous for a DownTick. TS, however, defines an UpTick as not only that but
also includes each successive tick whose value is equal to the previous tick
--- in other words, TS UpTicks = true UpTicks + unchanged Ticks (until the
next DownTick).
I know of no way to "correct" the TS definition (ie, get TS to count only
"true" UpTicks & DownTicks) using solely the TS program, and believe me, I've
tried to find a way for it do so (such is possible, to my knowledge, only by
using a user-supplied DLL).
This may account, in whole or in part, for the discrepancies between what you
see with TS and other programs.
