how do you do this?

I expect to have a file that contains "date,sym,rank" that
goes back 25 years. Using a dll I'd like to bring the data
into TS and back test the merit of rank changes, but I can't
figure out how to get the price data for different symbols
and indeed several symbols simultaneously using EL (only).
Any suggestions for a "smarter" app than TS or a way to work
around its limitations would be appreciated.
