It would be handy if someone compiled an e-booklet on the care and feeding
of GS. Re-initializing the box is probably not the solution. It is
probably the P codes. If it is the P codes, then once they send a refresher
P code you should begin receiving data right away. So tomorrow, a few
minutes after the open, if you still don't have data, then phone dtn tech
again and ask them to send those P codes, just for those symbols. Have
Radar Screen open with those symbols in it, or if you don't have Radar then
have a Quote screen open with all those symbols you are not getting data
for. If dtn does its job right and gets the P codes to your receiver then
data should appear in Radar or Quote screen within seconds to minutes. I am
going round and round with them on the DXY$Y and CRY$Y the new symbols for
DXY and CRY. I know the data is on the feed cuz Chameleon sees it, but the
GS doesn't. I used to get DXY and CRY but when those became a subscription
for another exchange I only get them as delayed with the $Y suffix. Some
dtn users get them, others don't. Would like to know the answer.
