Thanks for the results of your comparison, Gene. Very interesting. You
very appropriately capitalized "a LOT" when talking about how much more
expensive Intel is versus AMD. The difference is really surprising.
The difference is even bigger when comparing the cooler running, variable
speed, mobile Pentiums and Athlons for laptops. Intel has a fair amount of
monopoly power -- you are paying up to get the Intel name without much, if
any, additional benefit vis a vis AMD.
