If you ran an exchange that traded proprietary contracts, wouldn't you want
to give away as much data as possible to anyone who would take it? Wouldn't
you want to provide free backtesting tools to anyone who would use them so
that you could increase the number of contracts traded on your exchange?
Wouldn't you want people checking a website or calling an 800 number all day
long to see what the price of X was in real-time?
Is it just me or is it ironic that the exchanges which are distilled,
concentrated (some might say perverted) capitalism seem to be completely
clueless about market principles?
