An Online Community Store module (OCS) has now been released at
www.traders2traders.com <http://www.traders2traders.com> . The OCS provides
a sub-portal for traders to sell used books or transfer software licenses,
for example. The Cooperative Buying function which was also recently
introduced is now included in OCS, which provides an efficient medium for
traders to acquire software, data, or services that are cooperatively
purchased.
Together, the functionality of cooperative purchases and OCS are anticipated
to save traders considerable amounts as it empowers them to pool their
buying power. The first software application that's put to a vote for a
cooperative purchase has a suggested retail price of $780, however, if 50
traders vote to buy it at $21, then it will be placed in the store for
purchase.
Although the store is all but bereft of items for sale at its opening,
traders are encouraged to visit the store and explore. There's a new link on
the homepage. All feedback and suggestions to improve the store are welcome.
