Darryl.
If that is Mats question, then it should be no problen to take the closing
price of today. Afterall he is trading a PORTFOLIO of stocks and even if
there have been no trades today there will be a closing price for that stock
and it should not effect the portfolio so much. So why not use the estimate
of the market makers?
The market might have moved up or down a lot from the time when the stock
was last traded, if you dont take that in consideration you will accept
wrong numbers. Take the excample of the options ....!

  ++Maybe this has already been clarified (I'm on the digest), but
  ++here's my
  ++two cents.
  ++
  ++I think the question Mats is asking is 'how do I value an open
  ++position in
  ++a stock that has no trades for the day'. A trade has been entered, the
  ++stock is part of the open trade portfolio, but is so thinly traded that
  ++there are no trades at all on a given day. My suggestion is to use the
  ++last know close for the stock. If it hasn't traded today, then use
  ++yesterday's close, etc.
