That site is a bit dated. In fact, I don't think it was ever right. It's
not necessary to boot into DOS to find and delete those files (who has
DOS on his computer these days anyway?). Windows Explorer can be
configured to display hidden and system files. As well, you can tell the
search function to include them. You can find them and delete them with
a click. Windows just hides program and system files by default to keep
the bozos from deleting critical stuff. Ever since Win 3.1, I've
configured my computer to let me see all the files on it.
Personally, I don't sweat it. If the FBI wants to examine my computer
for porn site patronage, I guess it would be good for a laugh to watch
them work. :-)
