Hello carrslem,
http://www.whatismyipaddress.com/ go here and then configure your dhcp
to a fixed ip and that should help? giving you a static ip. i would
suggest using some ping type software to then keep it active.
c> This is a potential problem for anyone using an ISP which configures your
c> computer for automatic DHCP configuration, such as Cox Communications.
c> Please check your event log to see if you are a victim of this problem and,
c> if so, complain to your ISP. Be sure to tell them it is the known IP
c> address renewal problem described in the MS Knowledge Database.
