"Soccer" is not likely to be big in the US. It is a GREAT game to
watch, with long periods of very interesting play - but that's the
problem. US "football" has rather short periods of play with a LOT of
time for commercials in between. Given the dominance of advertisers,
guess which one will be supported in the US? It is not likely that
there will be a "popular" game in the US unless it has a LOT of dead
time between "plays". </cynic>
