A relatively new product that has matured significantly over the past 12
months is AmiBroker (www.amibroker.com). It had limitations with respect to
Real-Time access in the past, but the latest release now integrates RT into
the product. The first release also only works with eSignal, but the
developer is expanding it as we speak.
So if you are looking for a product that has real programming capabilities
(even the ability to use Jscript or VBScript), then I would highly recommend
you go back and look at the product now.
It has significant forum and user group going on and the developer is very
much attuned to satisfying enhancement requests. To the point that he has
turned out multiple revisions to support things the forum community has
suggested. The language is different than TS, certainly, but I think you
will find easy to understand.
The price is right, too! $200 for the full RT version!
