Hello Dennis,
Look's to me like Quote.com :
1.) Are turning hostile towards 3rd party developers. Because of some
perceived (paranoid) security leakage.
2.) Are not only concerned with the security problem but want
developers, hence users of 3rd party products to pay for the fix.
3.) Are developing their own little mini tradestation and do not want
any competition using their feed, unless you pay thru the nose. In an
attempt to get your business by pricing the the 3rd parties out of he
picture.
4.) Are going to make 3rd party users now pay for a second account if
you want to also use QCharts and 3rd party software. Yes you will
have to pay double exchange fee's as well when they roll out this new
improved idea.
DT> What is Lycos/QFeed trying to do with this? It seems they are
DT> wanting the software registered with them that connects to their
DT> real time data feed. ANY software that you and I might develop
DT> that I assume uses there SDK. that could be anything that uses
DT> their data.
DT> Any comments?
