EL question - #shares calc

What's the "best way" to determine the number round lots (# of shares) to
buy in EL if I'd like to reinvest accumulated profits in a strategy? For
example, in year one my opening balance was $1 million and at the close of
the year it's $1.3 million. I couldn't see a function that would quantify an
order to buy $1.3 million worth of shares at the start of year 2.
