All I can say is try it. There's no harm having an updated version of
some low-level system resource on your computer. All I know is that the
MDAC provided with ProSuite 2000i doesn't work with Win98 an up. If I
ever have to re-install it on another machine, I burned myself another
ProSuite CD with the updated MDAC on it.
