Good lord. Don't ever EVER reply to a spammer if you didn't sign up
to receive the mailings. There's no reason why YOU should have to
jump through someone else's hoops to stop receiving mail you never
asked for in the first place.
Have you ever thought about what happens when you follow spammer
removal instructions? More often than not, doing so will only
validate your address as a "live" address, making it more valuable
to the spammer. Even if the spammer removes you, the spammer WILL
keep your address on file, and sell it to other spammers as a live
working address.
What can you do? The lazy thing to do is set up a filter in your
mail software to reject any future mail from an undesirable source.
This is just an automated way of "just hit delete" which eases the
symptom but does nothing to reduce the volume of spam.
Far better would be to complain to the spammer's hosting provider,
and if they don't act, complain to THEIR provider. One easy way
to do this is to use http://www.spamcop.net - just copy and paste
the ORIGINAL spam, full headers and all, and Spamcop will take care
of the rest. I've been fighting spam for years, know how to trace
the origin of spam by studying the headers, and for the most part
Spamcop does a good job.
It is important that you submit ALL headers, especially those ones
that start with "Received: ..." If you don't see those, you need to
set up your mail software so you can. Tracing spam and complaining
about it is not possible without these headers.
