TS V5 Capacity for Intraday Stocks

For Tradestation 2000i (V5):

I would like to follow 1000 stocks intraday using hourly bars with each stock
having a chart history of 40 days.

Does anyone do this?  

What is the largest practical capacity before Tradestation becomes unstable?

How many stocks per workspace do you recommend?

How large a computer?

I would appreciate any comments.
