Hello ALL,
reporting back i received my goods from www.newegg.com to build the
following computer using the Athlon XP 1900+ Palomino processor. it
took very little effort to build this machine and it is fast. i
figure 40 minutes it took to build it saved me 800.00 or more from a
dell or compaq. plus it has better components than they offer.

my other parts a here waiting for the second machine which uses all
the same parts above except for the motherboard which is an EPOX.
i will report back when i get this one built. a damaged case (looked
like the fedx truck run over it) prevented me from finishing this
machine yet. however note that www.newegg.com gave me a rma for an
exchange no problem. so i have ordered parts for 2 more machines and
will keep you informed of what those all are when i get them built ect.
then i will have a trading machine shoot out of the cheapest, highest
performance bang for the buck trading platform. i will run benchmarks
based on trading software rather than games and or 3d stuff. i am
happy with this first one considering the value vs effort expended. i
installed win2000 with service pack 2 on it.
